Mig-Mag welding: reliable, high welding speed, solid, secure 24 v command.

Characteristics and applications:

The semi-automatic welding machines are suitable for the welding with melting solid or cored wire with mixed gas. They are appropriate for welding in all positions of metal sheets up to large thicknesses of alloyed and unalloyed steel, stainless steel, aluminum and alloys. A functional though simple construction of the machine assure a minimum of breakdowns.

Assembly:

The machine is composed of a power unit with a steady voltage transformer, integrated wire feeder and welding gun.

Adaption:

A combination of four welding power sources (383-500-600), 2 wire feed devices (4 wheels, Push Pull) and 7 types of welding guns offers the possibility to answer to all possible welding applications.

Mig-Mag welding power sources:

To guarantee a reliable machine, all parts have been placed on a mobile compact chassis. The Sammy series is designed for semi-automatic welding under protected gas. The three-phase-copper-wound transformer assures an excellent reliability. The output is adjustable in 28/30 positions by means of 2 cam switches. The silicon rectifier supports a 800 V reverse voltage. An accurate set-up of air entry and air exhaust prevents high temperatures which makes a fan redundant. This prevents the machine from absorbing metal particles. The solid transformer and rectifier assure excellent operation at 100% duty cycle.

Wire feeder:

The wire feeder on the source can be turned in any direction. It is even possible to remove the wire feeder and place next to the tool. Considering the fact that the torch is not longer than 3 or 4 m, it is a big advantage to be able to adjust the length between the source and the wire feeder (standard length is 5m). The wire feed motor is a dc-shunt-motor with integrated gear-box. A variable rotor voltage under constant induction provides a speed adjustment between 0-23m/min. This kind of regulation guarantees a steady wire feeding. The wire is carried along by 2 or 4 gear-wheel rolls which prevents the wire from slipping.
